This is my first attempt at focus stacking. Pack out all your trash (kudos to previous visitors, I didnt see any trash up here!). Charge a small entry fee to the park to increase park maintenance. Ways we can protect this landscape? No more helicopters landing just so tourists can take photos (or compromise and allow them to land but charge a 100% tax rate with the money going to maintain the park). This is one more bit of evidence in my "hiding your location isnt actually about helping the environment" hypothesis. I do find it somewhat hypocritical to pretend to want to protect fragile landscapes by hiding their location in one post, and then promoting helicopter transport to places you can walk to in the next post. Ultimately, the provincial park policy that allows this is part of the problem. Some even do paid promotions for these companies (Assiniboine is a prime example). But it always seems ironic to me that the same influencers who want to hide their photo locations from people, have no problem taking a helicopter journey to somewhere they could easily walk to. I'm not opposed to people using helicopters to explore distant remote locations that aren't easily accessed. Sadly the park service allows private helicopter companies to land on the ridge (presumably not for rescue purposes) disturbing the landscape way more than anyone just walking here. This place is not a secret remote spot (the gravel road to get here is accessible by most cars) and the trail is a reasonable 6km that is steep but well maintained and very doable. I have long wanted to visit this climbing destination and upon discovering this ridge, made the journey a couple weeks ago.
